There is no easier way to display and broadcast your event's results. Users have found applications for ResulTV as a scoreboard; as a data terminal for judges, announcers, and athletes in dressing rooms etc.; and as means of producing graphics for television without the need for a Chyron graphics generator. ResulTV is being used in pari-mutual simulcast productions around the globe.
How is ResulTV being Used?
BASIC Uses include... Scoreboard: In many situations, ResulTV is a perfect - affordable - alternative to full-matrix scoreboards costing tens of thousands of dollars.
The indoor track facility at Louisiana State University uses ResulTV in conjunction with a projection TV to display results INSTANTLY. With two simple cable connections, ResulTV makes maximal use of an organization's existing hardware.
By using their existing projection TV and an existing computer from the track program, LSU were able to mimic a full color scoreboard display showing start lists with lane assignments and athlete affiliations prior to each event, and then - as the FinishLynx operator evaluated the image - the OFFICIAL results.
Information Terminal: Often announcers and commentators are forced to rely on "spotters" working in conjunction with the results production team to stay informed - with all the attendant problems of a game of Chinese whispers: misreading of names and times, incorrect matching of times and lanes, etc.. With ResulTV, the official results can be displayed in the announcers' booth as soon as they are available - without any errors.
More Sophisticated Uses.. In-house and Broadcast TV: The color of the display - both background and fonts - can be custom configured so that the information can be overlayed on in-house or broadcast TV. A producer can be comfortable that the data being transmitted is accurate and timely. The program is FAST. See how much happened in less than 30 seconds at the 1998 Chase Millrose Games in Madison Square Garden (without anyone touching a data entry keyboard).
